Reporting to the FMG Operations Manager, we are looking for an Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Tech to support all Operational activities, drive process improvements, develop documentation such as mechanical drawings, specifications, and other customer specific technical requirement.

FMG Enterprises, located in Santa Clara, CA, is a privately owned vacuum pump, motor and blower rebuilder, seller, and service provider for clients in the semiconductor and industrial markets. Our business model includes sales and rebuilding of vane, piston, dry, turbo, and cryogenic vacuum pumps, as well as on-site process and maintenance services available to our customers. As a growing company of 40 people, you will be a key player in providing Mechanical and Electrical Engineering solutions for the company.

Summary

Reporting to the FMG Operations Manager, we are looking for an Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Tech to support all Operational activities, drive process improvements, develop documentation such as mechanical drawings, specifications, and other customer specific technical requirements.

Job Duties

· Leak check and ensure all mechanical and electrical parameters are within customer Specifications prior to shipping.

o Repair problems and provide feedback to the Production team if needed.

· Develop and sustain systems/equipment documentation/training manuals, etc.

· Ensure the Shop Equipment preventative maintenance (PM) is performed per specification and recorded on maintenance logs.

· Partner with the Procurement team to ensure minimal time down waiting for parts.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

· Will accept a local, assertive new college graduate (AS, BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering) and will train.

o Vacuum and/or Electrical related theory or experience is preferred

· Prefer experience with semiconductor manufacturing or similar equipment maintenance background.

· Proven success at trouble shooting, problem solving

· Experience with sensors, inverters, pressure differential, reverse engineering problem solving as needed, etc.

· Solid verbal and written communication skills, strong work ethic, detail oriented, high sense of responsibility and a “can-do” attitude

· Strong sense of detail and Quality Improvement mindset
